Well we did it! Matt and I successfully made it 1 year caring for our son! Yeah us! Turning one opens up so many possibilities. He can drink real milk, eat strawberries and on his special day he can even eat cake. We didn't make too big of a deal about his birthday but he got to stick his fingers in the cake and dig in. At first he wasn't quite sure what to do and he didn't know why we were all staring at him. The first thing he did was take a big glop of icing and throw it on the floor. Once I showed him how delicious the cake was he dove right in. The biggest hit of the party was a music birthday card that sang "Celebrate". He was dancing like crazy. Poppa David sent him another one when we got home that sings "Move It" which is perfect because "Celebrate" ran out of batteries!
