Beach Vacation...sort of

Matt was recently in Pensacola, FL for a week long class and Connor and I decided to join him..the luxuries of not working. Although flying with a toddler is harder than COP ever was, that is for sure. Thankfully we met a really nice lady that sat next to us! The base in Pensacola is amazing and we had a great hotel room and enjoyed some big city living. We went to the Naval Aviation museum on base and then we headed to Destin, FL. I had been to Destin about 15 plus years ago and I don't remember much but it sure has grown up. We laugh that we could have been anywhere because we didn't really do much beach time. However we had some fabulous meals and did a lot of napping. Vacationing with a baby doesn't really qualify as vacationing in my book. Thankfully the plane ride home was much smoother, probably because there were two of us!
"These planes are cool, Dad"
"Airplane ride anyone?"
Beach Time
"Mom this crab is delicious...too bad you can't have any! More for us!"
This video is at the Aviation Museum. Connor was doing a pretty good job walking as long as you were holding his hand. He didn't get as excited as we thought he would looking at all the airplanes, he likes them much better when they are flying in the sky.
We also learned that we have to be very careful when leaving a hotel because Connor loves to open drawers and put things in it. We have to do triple checks of every drawer/cabinet before we leave. Last night I found a wooden spoon in his sock drawer that he had put in there the night before with his Dad!
